In 2017, a studio named FIT36 emerged into the Third Lake / Grayslake / Gurnee area with a fast and fun HIIT workout concept. It quickly attracted the eye of now owner, Amanda Schulz: “I lead a very active life with my husband and two kids while running a household and a full-time job. A great workout in only 36 minutes?! Sign me up!” After becoming a member, Amanda quickly convinced her husband, Mike, to join and they were both sold. In 2018, they purchased the then-franchise and soon turned their passion for helping people into a family-owned small business. No. 36 Fitness was born.
After a long career in the corporate world, I obtained my Certified Personal Training and Nutrition Coach certifications from NASM in 2019. Since then, I have been diving into my love of fitness and helping others reach their goals. I enjoy working with all levels from the beginner to the more advanced athlete. Core strength and educating clients on proper form and technique are two concepts I am passionate about. I also make sure my clients are having fun, because that is the primary driver to keep coming back. Regardless of what your goals are, whether you want to get stronger, lose weight, or just feel better overall...consistency is key! Having a "progress over perfection" mindset is the best approach to a healthy lifestyle!
Hi there! I am a NASM certified personal trainer and Nutrition coach. I have been a coach at No36Fitness for 4+ years. I have experience coaching group classes as well as working 1:1. I am one of the transform coaches here at No36 and I also head the 36 Youth program. I am a passionate and attentive trainer that gives 100% to each and every client. I have experience playing athletics at the collegiate level but I also have personal experience when it comes to struggling with weight and finding my confidence after I became a mom. I know both ends of the health and wellness spectrum and because of that experience I can relate with my clients at a deeper level.
I work with any individual, it does not matter the experience level. I also enjoy working with individuals that need guidance after injury or preventative training to help muscle imbalances to build strength. I mesh movement goals with nutrition goals to achieve the ultimate results! I love everything about this career and I am committed to provide the support you need to achieve your goals! I can’t wait to work with you!!
Terri comes to No.36 Fitness after working 18 years in the fire service as a Firefighter/Paramedic. After leaving the fire service, she devoted her personal and professional skills to working in a cancer center, specifically in the ER, ICU, and Immediate Care Center.She is a certified group fitness instructor specializing in spin, bootcamp and kickboxing.Terri is a committed athlete.
She started running half marathons 12 years ago. Since 2007 she has completed numerous half marathons, finished full marathons, half Ironman’s and a century bike ride.During her time off, she enjoys participating in “bootcamp” training, trail running, kayaking and spending time with her husband and dogs.Terri is warm, funny and inspirational. She has a passion for working with people, fitness and health.
Jeremy has been coaching athletes of varying levels for almost 10 years, from high school students to weekend warriors and everything in between!
A lifelong athlete himself, Jeremy believes that the strength and confidence gained from exercise and movement is the foundation for success in all facets of life.
Jeremy’s favorite workouts include lots of heavy lifting and plyometric movements, and he is always eager to get back to his roots in Olympic Weightlifting.
If you need to pick someone’s brain about becoming a more explosive athlete, Jeremy is your guy!
Outside of No.36 Fitness, Jeremy works full time in the IT industry and has hobbies that frustrate him more than anything, including golfing, bowling, and cheering for his Green Bay Packers.
